Working Hog Dog

16"x20" Acrylic on canvas. This painting and its partner "War Pig" were inspired by the fascinating Texas ritual of hunting invasive wild boar with dogs. Though I am not a hunter myself and am generally averse to violence, I got to know many hunter/dog teams and hear their hair-raising stories. It inspired me to paint these two portraits to memorialize this unique tradition. Reproductions are available of any size, please contact for pricing.
